You’ve so much HEART, girl. I too do not agree with everything that Barack says. And like you I TOTALLY SUPPORT his bid for the presidency and will do everything I can to help him get elected, because if the opposition wins I believe this country will go downhill faster than a snow skier and end up in a way worse mess than it’s already in.

The mainstream media and the close-minded right-wingers will distort and magnify every non-essential thing about this man and what he stands for. “He’s a Muslim”, (NOT, but if he were, what happened to the AMERICAN constitutional right to freedom of religion?!), “He doesn’t sport the freaking flag lapel pin, therefore he’s not patriotic”, (What can one say to that absurdity?), “His wife isn’t proud to be an American”, (I would REALLY like to be proud to be an American, so that’s why I want to see this country led by someone who can make ME proud of the country where I was born. And anyway, the msm needs to ‘LAY OFF OF HIS WIFE’!), “He flip-flopped on public campaign financing”, (If changing course when one realizes that a different course of action is superior is not a sign of using one’s judgment well, what is?)

Maceo, like you say, he’s not a “savior”, he’s a human, and therefore not perfect. But he is fundamentally superior to what the U.S. has had for the past 8 years, and McCain isn’t. THAT IS the bottom line.
